About Me Projects

For the 1st semester final exam, my students from General English 1F and 1G and Grammar 1E completed “About Me” projects. I thought that this assignment would be useful since they will use these sentences a lot when they introduce themselves.

Amazing Work!

My students had to answer 11 questions for their projects.

About Me Questions

  1. What is your name?
  2. How old are you?
  3. Where are you from?
  4. Where do you live?
  5. Where do you go to school?
  6. What do you study?
  7. What languages do you speak?
  8. Do you have a mother, father, brother, or sister?
  9. Who do you live with?
  10. Do you have a pet?
  11. What do you like to do?

I designed this project so that they would practice the present simple tense, prepositions, and like + infinitive. They are still beginners, so I wanted to give them a project that was suited to what we were learning.

Here are some of my favorite projects:

Xaysana’s project (Grammar 1E). It was the day after Christmas when they presented, so Xaysana took the Christmas theme and ran with it!

Everyone got a round of applause and mini eraser after their presentations. It was a fun day, and I definitely learned a lot more about my students!
